Personal Power: Do You Have Any?

Ask yourself, “What is power? How do I get it? How do I use it?”

You don’t care about power, you say?

What about the power to reach more folks with your opportunity? What about the power to close more folks on sales? What about the power to actually be able to help your folks succeed in their business while you succeed in yours?

What about the power to go to work; to pay your bills, feed the kids, send them to school?

How do salesmen and public speakers tune into their audiences and close so many sales? Why do seminars from on stage close so many more sales than email and video emails? How is it they can sense the group mind of their audience which turns into individuals deciding to buy?

Why some people antagonize others without knowing it. Do you ever worry that you do this?

Yah needs to be thinking about power and where yours is coming from, Mon.

Master Mind

Do you really know what the law of the “Master Mind” is? Woodrow Wilson, who I once thought of as a terrible Progressive, I am now convinced was a good man. His only mistake was in believing that all the others in his sphere of influence had his same motivations and agenda. He had the law of the “Master Mind” in his plan for the League of Nations. While it is true that it was a poisoned banquet for the republic, I believe it to be a true statement that Woodrow Wilson had good intentions. President Wilson forgot that in order to have a healthy Master Mind, it is necessary to have a group bent on one purpose and cooperating towards that purpose.

Just Pulling Any Group Together Just Won’t Do

Before you engage in starting a Master Mind group, make sure of the intentions and motivations of those you would engage in its formation. Make sure your members are contributors and not detractors. You can take on charity cases later when you are rich and have time.

Right now you have a business to build.

Master Mind Alliance

So, what is the Master Mind principle?

“An alliance of two or more minds working in perfect harmony for the attainment of a common definite objective.”

The power of this is the position that no set of minds ever comes together for a common goal without a “group mind” coming into being that is stronger and more powerful than the sum of its parts. This is why its subset, teamwork, is so powerful in part. Mumbo jumbo you say? Really? All three of the world’s monotheistic religions share the Book of Genesis. Moses had something to say on the subject of group mind, or “Master Mind” when talking about the Tower of Babel.

Now, I have thought long and hard on the following scripture verse and I think it is Apocalyptic. It is certainly revealing when you read each line slowly, letting the weight of Jehovah’s words sink in without overlaying them with your struggles with the beautiful King Jame’s English or with what you are planning for dinner.

Focus; it’s important.

Genesis 11: 6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

Let me break it down for you while the concept of “Master Mind” is fresh in your brain.

Behold, the people is one
This they begin to do
… now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

Anything they imagine to do will not be restrained from them because they are one.

If you build your team with the understanding that you need to be building a Master Mind as a very real as a source of power in building your business I think your success will accelerate.
